ARES ROOMS

This is a small cosy traditional b&b, where quiet surroundings and attentiveness to the needs of its guests have been the main concern of the family-run management since it was established in the early 50s.
Sincerely welcoming Ares rooms' location is both attractive and convenient. This simple yet comfortable and very friendly establishment is located on the 5th floor (there's a lift!) of a late-19th century building, on the highest point of the historical centre of Rome. Several of the rooms, which are situated on three sides of the building, offer nice views and panoramic glimpses of monuments such as the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore and Saint Peter's in the Vatican.

ROOMS:
All its large light airy rooms have double glazed aluminium windows. There are single rooms (with larger than normal single beds), twins/doubles, triples, etc., all fully and functionally furnished, with a sink, mirror and hairdryer and central heating. The 3 shared bathrooms are on the same floor. Some rooms offer a nice view on Rome.

LOCATION:
Ares is located about 100 m far from the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and about 600 m from Rome's TERMINI railway station.
Ares Rooms is on the border between the historic Roman districts of Esquilino and Monti, at a stone's throw from the ancient Basilica of Santa Prassede (with its beautiful medieval mosaics) and the Palazzo Brancaccio (which houses a theatre with the same name and the Oriental Art Museum).
A short walk away are other major attractions, such as the Lateran Complex, the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli (which houses the famous sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo), Emperor Nero's Domus Aurea and the Colosseum, the Roman and Imperial Forums.
